Los Angeles: Wales footballer Gareth Bale has returned to the United States. Bailey, 32, has joined Major Soccer League club Los Angeles FC from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Bailey’s arrival was announced by the Major Soccer League itself. Bailey arrived in Madrid in 2013 from English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur for a then world record fee (100 100 million). Bailey said the move to Los Angeles FC was “exciting”. Los Angeles will be a great experience for himself and his family as he nears the end of his career.
Bailey said his goal is to help the team win trophies, including in the Major Soccer League. Bale has won three La Liga, five Champions League, three Club World Cups and a Spanish Cup for Real Madrid.
But Bailey was liable to the Royals as he continued to chase without injury. The best moment of his career was when he scored an overhead kick in the 2018 Champions League final against Liverpool. Bailey scored a double in the match.
Real also won the 2014 Copa del Rey final against Barcelona thanks to a goal from Bailey. For Bailey to qualify for the World Cup in Wales after 1958.
Wales beat Ukraine in play-off at Cardiff. Italian veteran Giorgino Kellini will also play with Bailey at Los Angeles FC. Kellini is from Italian club Juventus.
