jpnn.comCIBINONG – The Bogor Regency Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) is currently investigating allegations of inflated votes for political parties and legislative candidates in a number of areas at the plenary meeting to recapitulate the vote count results for the 2024 General Election at the sub-district level.
“We are currently in the process of further investigation as to whether it is a finding of alleged violation or not,” said Bogor Regency Bawaslu Prevention Division Coordinator Burhanuddin in Cibinong, Bogor, Friday (8/3).
He explained that the initial step taken by Bawaslu as a follow-up was to summon the sub-district election committees (PPK) in whose areas there had been a shift in votes.
According to Burhan, his party has also received a number of inputs from Bawaslu RI regarding the administration of the results of monitoring the vote recapitulation in Bogor Regency.
“The input is that everything related to supervision during the recapitulation plenary must be recorded and administered neatly,” he said.
He said that administration was important to ensure that the function of preventing, monitoring and handling violations was carried out optimally.
Previously, Bogor Regency Bawaslu Chairman Ridwan Arifin revealed that the alleged vote inflation occurred due to a shift in votes starting between parties, between legislative candidates, to a shift in party votes to legislative candidate votes.
These allegations are spread across a number of sub-districts, such as Ciseeng, Klapanunggal, Gunung Putri, Bojong Gede, Jasinga, and Citeureup.
Bogor Regency Bawaslu is currently investigating allegations of inflating votes for parties and legislative candidates at the sub-district level. The PPK involved is just getting ready.
