Beach volleyball at Roland-Garros: how French volleyball made its revolution to finally exist on the sand

A long crossing of a desert of fine sand. Since the presence of Stéphane Canet and Mathieu Hamel at the Athens Olympics in 2004, no French volleyball pair has taken part in the final stages of a major competition on the international beach scene. A discipline which finds, from this Thursday and until Sunday, the spotlights with the first edition of the French stage of the Beach Pro Tour which is held at Roland-Garros.
