Beetlejuice 2: The first teaser of the sequel to the comedy of Tim Burton has been released

by time news

Tim Burton returns to continue the legend of the 1989 cult black comedy.

In the first trailer for the film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, as it will be officially titled (and is a nod to the call of the charlatan bio-exorcist) we get a taste of both its gothic style and the return of the Deetz family.

Which famous actors embody the roles

Both Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz give a thunderous presence. We’re already introduced to the new addition to the family, Astrid Deetz played by Jenna Ortega, who most of us met through Netflix’s “Wednesday” – another Burton gothic creation.

Noteworthy is the return of Keaton’s Beetlejuice, who makes his entrance with a highly Beetlejuice speech and appearance that is as if not a single day has passed over him, as you will see in the trailer below.

Director Tim Burton revealed that the film is essentially CGI-free and how the majority of the effects were done in a hands-on manner, as in the first film, with Burton stating, “It had to go back to basics, to have a handmade quality. That’s what fueled me and made me love making movies in general.”

Also the cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is completed by Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who worked with Burton on the Wednesday series, wrote the screenplay. As for the soundtrack, it will once again be written by Danny Elfman.
