Among the procedures performed are the removal of the colostomy bag and the correction of a hernia in the operation incision. Adélio had been detained at the Federal Penitentiary of Campo Grande (MS) since 2018. The prisoner was transferred to receive outpatient treatment or hospitalization in a hospital bed in the state, as per court order. Reopening the case In October last year, the Federal Police reopened investigations into the stab wound that former president Jair Bolsonaro received. At the time, the corporation was working on the hypothesis that there was a mastermind behind the crime. The case occurred in September 2018, in Juiz de Fora (MG), during the first round electoral campaign. According to sources heard by R7 in the corporation, the delegate leading the case, Martín Bottaro Purper, from the Police Intelligence Directorate, decided to use the new testimony to assess whether different elements could result in another line of investigation. The intention was to find out if there was someone behind the attack. To do so, it would be necessary to obtain authorization from the Federal Court. Bottaro took over the case at the beginning of 2023. In two other investigations, the PF concluded that Adélio acted alone.
