Brazil vs Cameroon, live report from the 2022 World Cup

The group stage of the 2022 World Cup is coming to an end with one of the few teams that reached the final round with peace of mind – Brazil. Thanks to the victories over Serbia and Switzerland, the Selção have already secured their place in the round of 16 and in the meeting against Cameroon they need only a point to secure first place, and if they win they will be the only ones to finish the group stage with a perfect balance. On the other hand, the Africans need a surprising victory and a draw among the Europeans in the corresponding match to qualify, while a Serbian victory with a smaller margin will also be enough to advance a third African to the round of 16.

Although Neymar is still injured, Tita used the opportunity to rotate and rest other players. Ederson replaced Alisson in goal, and 39-year-old Dani Alves, who became the oldest player in the team’s history at the World Cup, was placed in the right-back position. Eder Militau was shifted to the center of defense and next to him Gleason Bremer who will make his first appearance in an official game for the national team. Last substitution in Cameroon as well: Embakli from the local league went up to the final minutes at the expense of Angamalu

Pedro was left free in the area, but kicked in a turn and flew the ball out

Brazil had at least nine minutes of extra time left to decide the match
