The United Kingdom announced on Saturday a £245 million package to help Ukraine replenish its ammunition stocks two years after the start of the war with Russia.
The British Ministry of Defense said in a statement that this assistance aims to “activate supply chains to produce artillery ammunition that Ukraine desperately needs to increase its stocks.”
British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said, “The Ukrainian army confronted the Russian attack in order to regain half of the territory that Russia controlled.”
Recently, London, one of Kiev’s main supporters, announced an increase in its military aid to Ukraine, which will reach 2.5 billion pounds sterling (2.9 billion euros) in 2024-2025.
