The Council of Arab Youth Ministers approved the selection of Baghdad as the Capital of Sports Culture for the year 2025.
A statement by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, received by the (INA), today, Thursday, stated that “the 47th Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, voted and approved the selection of Baghdad as the capital of sports culture for the year 2025, as there will be an appropriate agenda, especially for the occasion, from Programs and activities for an entire year, to celebrate Baghdad as the capital of sports culture.”
He added, “The head of the Iraqi delegation, Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, presented a project that includes Iraq hosting the meetings of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, its executive office, and its auxiliary committees for the year 2025, after an absence of more than thirty years.”
