Brooklyn Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham, publicly accused his parents of manipulating the press and sabotaging his marriage to Nicola Peltz, even alleging interference with his wedding day.
The 24-year-old broke his silence in a series of detailed Instagram Stories, claiming his parents and their team have consistently worked to undermine his relationship through media leaks and calculated actions.
“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He stated definitively, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn detailed alleged incidents stemming from his 2022 wedding in Palm Beach and his father’s 50th birthday celebration last year, where he felt family priorities clashed with his personal life.

Reports of family tensions have circulated for some time, including instances of family members blocking each other on social media and the Peltz Beckhams reportedly missing Beckham family events, such as Christmas gatherings.
Brooklyn criticized what he perceives as his family’s priorities, stating, “values public promotion and endorsements above all else … Brand Beckham comes first. Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo.”
The most pointed accusation centered around his wedding to Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, where a source claimed Victoria Beckham seemingly attempted to upstage the bride during the reception. Marc Anthony reportedly invited Victoria onstage to dance, allegedly overshadowing a planned moment for the newlyweds.

Brooklyn confirmed in his statement: “My mum was waiting to dance with me … She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.” He further alleged that Victoria refused to make alterations to Nicola’s dress at the last minute and that the family dismissed Nicola as an outsider, stating she was “not blood” and “not family.”
