With the availability of the Apple Vision Pro officially starting yesterday in the US, it was only a matter of time before we saw someone “semi-crazy” put it to the test.
The video provides some really valuable information about the overall durability of the headset. The Vision Pro seems to handle minor dings and scratches without issue, apart from of course some scratches that appear on the front glass without affecting its functionality.

However, users should be careful with drops as one of the Vision Pro’s speakers was damaged beyond repair. It seems that the area of the headband around the speakers and the user’s ears is the weak point of the headset, because there is a sensitive hinge hidden in there.
The most important thing to note, however, is that the light trim isn’t attached to the headset in a secure way, but is only held in place by magnets. This means you definitely won’t have to grab and lift the Vision Pro out of there, though. convenient as it may seem.
