Can’t act in Rajamouli’s film, doesn’t want to prove pan-Indian level: Chiranjeevi

Director S.S. Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi says he cannot act in Rajamouli’s film. In an interview to Film Companion, Chiranjeevi said that he has no desire to prove that he is pan-Indian by acting in Rajamouli’s film.

Rajamouli is the best director in the country. Baahubali and RRR brought Indian cinema to the international charts. He is a person with great convictions about cinema. Rajamouli does not compromise on the output of the film.

Rajamouli takes time for a film. I don’t know if I can give that much time. He would travel for four to five years for a film. I do four films at a time. Spending three-four years on a film is not practical for me. SS I have no desire to prove that I am Pan Indian level by acting in Rajamouli’s film. That’s why I said I can’t work with him,’ said Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi’s new film is Godfather. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film is a remake of the superhit Malayalam film Lucifer. Godfather is Chiranjeevi’s 153rd film in his career. It is produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films.

Nayanthara is coming as the heroine. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer of the film. S. Thaman is the music director. The art director is Suresh Selvarajan, who has done art direction for many Bollywood films. The film also features Satyadev Kancharana in an important role.
