Delhi: There is a possibility of tightening the covid norms in the country. Restrictions may be tightened during the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. Masks are likely to be made mandatory again. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has reiterated that flights from China will not be cancelled. The Ministry of Health informs that there is no decision to cancel flights to and from China for the time being.

Meanwhile, there may be a decision to tighten the covid restrictions in the Prime Minister’s meeting. States are likely to issue guidelines in this regard. Instructions will be given to increase quarantine facilities. The situation in the country is being monitored under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Samples that test positive are directed to be sent for genetic sequencing.

The Union Health Minister has directed to follow the Kovid norms including wearing of masks and use of sanitizers.
The minister directed that everyone should take precautionary dose of vaccine and follow covid protocol. States have been directed to make masks mandatory in the wake of upcoming celebrations and festivals.
