Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the audience of the Games of the Future in Kazan will exceed the audience of the Olympics by 7 times.
The tournament is due to take place in 2024. The corresponding agreement was signed at SPIEF by Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“For the first time in the world there will be an inaugural event,” Chernyshenko noted.
9 days of competition in 15 disciplines will gather a global audience. “Presumably seven times larger than the Olympic Games,” Chernyshenko emphasized. “There is little time left, only 1.5 years,” he reminded and wished success to the organizers.
“Games of the Future” – international competitions in 15 hybrid disciplines. Each of them combines the concept of “phygital” (physical + digital) and combines classic sports and e-sports or VR/AR technology.
