China Suárez Sparks Style Debate & Hints at Rivalry with Wanda Nara
A new interview with Argentinian actress China Suárez has ignited a firestorm of discussion, not only for its content but also for a perceived stylistic echo of media personality Wanda Nara. The conversation unfolded during appearances on both The Morning with Moria and Another Lost Day, with Suárez also addressing a long-simmering tension with Nara.
The initial buzz centered around Suárez’s fashion choice for her appearance on The Morning with Moria (eltrece). As soon as photos and videos from the interview with host Moria Casan were released, social media users pointed out a striking resemblance between Suárez’s outfit and looks previously worn by Nara during her 2023 hosting stint on Masterchef.
Specifically, Suárez opted for a monochrome olive green blouse and pants set, a style many observers felt mirrored a similar ensemble favored by Nara. While Suárez’s version featured a more oversized fit and longer, blonde hair – a detail also noted by commentators – the similarities were enough to spark a debate online.
“She has the same clothes as Wanda when she was interviewed,” one user commented on Instagram, reflecting a sentiment echoed by others: “Now that Maxi and Wanda make notes, it turns out that they do too,” and “China with a wig wanting to be Wanda.”
Beyond the fashion comparisons, Suárez used a Friday appearance on Another Lost Day (Eltrece) to address the ongoing narrative surrounding her and Nara, hinting at a desire for retribution. Speaking with Mario Pergolini, Suárez alluded to a need to “start getting revenge a little more like Clara,” referencing her character in a new series.
“I’m in the mood for revenge… not from anyone specific,” Suárez stated, adding that while she doesn’t engage in dramatic acts, she can be “very hurtful” with her words. She described a tendency to say things she later regrets, and acknowledged a history of letting things “pass,” but also a growing willingness to respond. “Mauro knows that when he is about to come he has to take the phone out of my hand,” she quipped, offering a glimpse into her dynamic with partner Mauro Icardi.
The actress also touched on her life with Icardi in Turkey, describing their relationship as a “team” and emphasizing the positive experience her children are having learning Turkish through their school. She acknowledged the speed of their relationship, stating, “It was too fast, and they tell me so.”
Reflecting on past relationships, Suárez revealed she was once close to marriage, with all arrangements made, but ultimately questioned the point of tying the knot only to potentially divorce.
Addressing the broader dynamic with Nara, Suárez acknowledged the public’s fascination with pitting the two women against each other. “In Argentina this thing happens about the enjoyment of antagonizing two women,” she observed. “I am not lukewarm, nor will I be, and I don’t like lukewarm people either. For my friends and for the people I love, I kill. I’m a person who takes care of things, who takes care of his shit… but I’m not different from anyone, what happens is that from the outside everything is magnified.”
The interview, set to premiere next Monday, promises to further unpack these tensions and offer a deeper look into Suárez’s perspective.
