In a joint effort to consolidate the ties that unite Colombia and Argentina, the Foreign Ministries of both nations have held talks following the instructions of the presidents of each country.

These deliberations aim to strengthen diplomatic relations in line with fraternity, civility and the deep-rooted ties between both peoples in the political, commercial, cultural and institutional spheres.

In this context, the respective governments have taken concrete steps to overcome any differences and consolidate this lasting friendship relationship.

The Colombian Government has instructed Ambassador Camilo Romero to return to Buenos Aires, at the same time as giving its approval to the new Ambassador appointed by the Argentine Government in Bogotá.

For its part, the Argentine Government has announced the next visit to Colombia of its Chancellor, Diana Mondino.as a gesture of reaffirmation of its commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

The two governments emphasized continuing to work for the well-being of the diasporas in both countries.

“The Colombian and Argentine diasporas that reside in both countries: students, workers, businessmen and families, have built this relationship and are its main support. “Both governments will continue working for the well-being of these populations,” the statement says.

Just a few days away from commemorating the 201st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Argentine Republic and the Republic of Colombia ratify the importance of maintaining solid relations and express their determination to further strengthen the ties that unite both nations.
