Corona screening for passengers started at Madurai airport

Corona tests have resumed at Madurai Airport.

Due to the rapid spread of the new type of corona virus known as XPB, as per the instructions of the Central Health Department and the State Health Department, as per the order of Arjun Kumar, Joint Director of the Health Department, intensive surveillance and tests will be implemented at the Madurai Airport from tomorrow.

2 Vaccinations are required for those entering the airport premises. Or have proof of no corona infection. The health department has announced that they will be allowed only if they are wearing a face mask.

Madurai District, Thiruparangunram Taluk, Madurai Airport is visited by travelers from foreign countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka, Dubai and Sharjah. Due to the rapid spread of the new type of corona virus known as B-7 in the current situation, the health department has announced that the corona test which was temporarily suspended at the airport will resume from tomorrow as a precautionary measure to prevent it.

According to this, 2% of passengers coming from foreign countries will be screened at the airport. If they are found to be positive for the diseases, information will be sent to the districts in the address of all the passengers who traveled on the flight and all passengers will be tested.

Currently, passengers entering the airport must have two corona vaccinations. Or it is advised to have a certificate as no Corona. It is also said that only those wearing face shields will be allowed.
