Russian actors often traveled to Ukraine to shoot before the start of the SVO. Oksana Stashenko is no exception. The famous artist in Kyiv was a frequent guest. During the filming, she made many friends and acquaintances among Ukrainian actors. However, after the start in the NWO, everything changed. Stashenko frankly told MK correspondents about the unexpected persecution by her Ukrainian colleagues.
“I have a spoiled fate now, because everyone thinks that I live in Ukraine,” Oksana sighs. — And I live here in Russia. I give 27 performances a month in various parts of our vast country. I just filmed in Ukraine, like all our other artists. Because 80 percent of the television industry was in Kyiv. We were sent there on an expedition. Of course, during this time we had many friends, acquaintances there then.
Are you talking to them now?
– No, we do not communicate. Those actors who until recently walked on tiptoe in front of me turned their backs on me. Although before that everyone begged: “Take our photographs, Oksana Mikhailovna, give them to some casting directors in Moscow.” I took these pictures, helped … Many asked for advice in a life situation: “My wife is leaving. Tell me what to do? I advised … That is, I worked as an artist, and a psychologist, and a casting director. And suddenly, as soon as SVO began, the very next day my phone was put up for public access with the words: “Pound her!”. And I didn’t sleep for a week, because social networks weren’t banned at that moment. And there came such an amount of any dregs, fakes! It’s through my page. I had to clean it all at night! And how many calls I received! I just didn’t pick up the phone.
– Was it written by ordinary people or Ukrainian colleagues with whom you worked?
– Colleagues. I now call them cripples – cripples in the brain. You have to be so stupid as to allow yourself to open your head box and let your brain get out of there! They were all brought up on Russian literature, on Russian dramaturgy! They all starred in Russian projects, received Russian money, built dachas on them, went on vacation with Russian money! They all aspired to act in Russian projects: they didn’t go to Ukrainian ones, because they didn’t know how to speak Ukrainian. And suddenly these cripples began to allow me to speak out and call for some kind of action against me! How many comments I deleted with obscene language (and still do)! I want to tell them: “You are actors, you are cultured people. Even if you want to say something, do it without using a strong Russian word.
And what did they say in response to that?
“That’s what I’m telling you. I didn’t answer a single person. I just deleted their messages, I delete and I will delete. I am the daughter of my people, I am not going anywhere and have never intended to. I have no foreign real estate, no plans to survive, to wait out a hard time away from Russia. I have always been with my country, experienced moments of sadness and joyful years with it. I know what the Soviet Union is, and I think that this is the best thing that could be as a state. All my friends who lived in the USSR agree with me. I believe that we will survive all the difficulties with our country. And we will definitely come to victory and we will celebrate it!
