The idea is to create a “platform, movement or union with a legal form that brings together all sectors of culture”, according to some of the promoters who have insisted that it is an action “collective, civil and social», so they have preferred not to identify themselves.
The first action was a short manifesto published in the co-official languages of the State which denounces “the cancellations of shows and musical performances throughout the State, motivated solely by partisan and political criteria” and which, among others, have spread voices from the sector like High season or the company evil hair.

“Professionals in the world of culture want to denounce the return of censorship that is attacking freedom of expression, a right socially and democratically consolidated in our Constitution”, says the text, which has been spread on networks, among others, by the actors Alba Flores or Miguel Rellán, as well as by the Minister of Culture and Sport, Miquel Icetaand the second vice-president of the Government, Yolanda Diaz.

He has also been supported by the actresses Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Carolina Yuste and Itziar Castro, the filmmakers Leticia Dolera and Elena Martín Gimeno, the playwright Pablo Messiez, film directors such as Montxo Armendariz, actors such as Carlos Bardem, as well as institutions such as the SGAE , the Union of Musicians, the Union of Actors and Actresses or the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
Beyond the messages on the networks, a multitude of Culture professionals – such as Pedro Almodóvar, Joan Manuel Serrat, Rocío Saiz, Paco Bezerra, Pablo Hueto… – have united in a group from which a future structurewhich will be presented as “as soon as possible”.
The initiative has started from women in the performing arts in response to the cancellations of theatrical works of recent weeks, such as the show Nua: x-ray of a disorder, by Mallorcan actress and playwright Ann Perelló or El mar: vision of children who have not seen the sea, by Xavier Bobés and Alberto Conejero .
