Man was returning from the New Year’s Eve show in Jardim and family members believe he was drunk

A 37-year-old cyclist, whose name was not released, was rescued in serious condition after falling in vain from a bridge over the Miranda River, a stretch that divides Guia Lopes da Laguna and Jardim, cities 233 km and 236 km from Campo Grande, respectively. . The accident happened in the early hours of Monday (1st).
According to the Jardim MS News portal, family members said that the cyclist was returning from the New Year’s Eve show that took place in Jardim and ended up losing control of the bike and falling between the bridge gap and the river. The suspicion is that he was drunk.
The man was left lying at the scene and residents passing by heard screams for help. The Fire Department was called and the cyclist was taken to Marechal Rondon Hospital, however, due to the severity of his injuries he had to be transferred from place zero to Santa Casa da Capital.
