The Denomination of Origin Empordà was one of the great winners of the eleventh gala of the Premis Vinarand, which were held on Friday at the Teatre Casal in Vilafranca del Penedès. In total, the DO Empordà stamp received 34 medalsa number that has made it the second most awarded, only behind the DO Cavawhich was recognized with a total of 82 medals and 5 big golds.
The DO Empordà wines they received the Great Gold, the highest distinction, were the Contrapás Blanc 2022 from Vinyes dels Aspres winery i the Mallolet Rosat 2022 from the Roig Parals winery.
Many looks also went to Eternal 2018 by Acústic Celler i Corral Cremat 2012, by Albet and Noya who were distinguished as a best Catalan wines of 2023.
In the other hand, Domènech vineyards was awarded the award for the best ecological projecti Castell d’Or received the prize for the best winery in Catalonia.
