“You are a notorious anti-Semite”, “Nazi”… The rebellious MP Louis Boyard had a bad quarter of an hour on the train. A video that went viral this weekend shows him being copiously insulted while he stands in what appears to be the dining car of a TGV. “All along, I only tried to calm the situation,” he reacts in a long message published on X (formerly Twitter) this Monday. In the video, we hear him calling on his interlocutor to “remain dignified”.

If the Val-de-Marne MP is not at his first scene of insult, he was however shocked by the lack of support, after the publication of these images on social networks. “No indignant journalists, no words of support from deputies of the presidential minority, no sign from the President of the National Assembly,” he wrote, before denouncing a “double standard.”

” Two weights, two measures “

In May 2020, Éric Zemmour was also attacked in the street, which caused a wave of indignation, he assures. “He, the multi-convicted racist, will have had the right to their support and their compassion (…) He even had the right to a call from the President of the Republic! », affirms the rebellious elected official. The far-right weekly “Current Values” had in fact noted that the polemicist, former presidential candidate, had received a phone call from the head of state.

“I had to move after my address was published by the French far right. I was insulted for ten long minutes on a TV set for having criticized Vincent Bolloré. My family has been directly threatened on several occasions,” explains the rebellious elected official, who affirms that his “social camp” is the target of “symbolic violence”. He notably filed a complaint after being approached by a person claiming to be from the judicial police who allegedly told him by telephone “Louis, I have the address of your parents and if you hang up, things will go very badly”.

Death threats

Louis Boyard also targets Gérald Darmanin. He claims to have “never seen” the police protection that the Minister of the Interior would have given him. Following his altercation with Cyril Hanouna, he received “various threats”. This surveillance around the elected official’s home was reinforced in February 2023, according to information from AFP.

In recent months, due to their positions on Hamas, which they refused to qualify as a terrorist organization, around fifteen rebellious deputies have received death threats, according to BFMTV. Some, including Louis Boyard, were forced to change their address.
