Singo Edan Arema FC coach Widodo Cahyono Putro said his team really needed to win to maintain their hopes of moving away from relegation.
“As a coach, I’m normal, I have to win matches against anyone. Our motivation is the same, like other teams before. We will fight, don’t want to lose, and remain enthusiastic, because we all know our position is not yet safe,” said Widodo. quoted from the official Indonesian League website, Sunday.
The former Persita Tangerang coach continued that he had carried out an evaluation of his team after losing to Persita Tangerang the previous week.
Widodo explained that his team continues to prepare themselves ahead of this match, including improving their mental aspects after suffering defeat.
“I personally don’t feel any mental pressure. My job here is to win the match. How to fight and don’t want to lose. That’s all,” explained Widodo.
Currently Arema FC is ranked 15th in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 31 points from 29 matches, very vulnerable to falling into the relegation zone.
