In the wake of the follow-up meeting devoted to support for Ukraine organized by France on March 7 in Paris, Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed, during this telephone interview, “his desire to continue efforts to quickly set up the coalition on deep strikes, as well as support for the Czech initiative on munitions,” according to the Élysée.

“Strategic ambiguity”

The French president “also reiterated the need to continue the work undertaken within the framework of the “artillery for Ukraine” coalition, set up under the American and French presidency,” according to the same source. “The two leaders also reiterated their desire to move forward in the five areas of action identified during the Conference in Support of Ukraine, namely cyberdefense, mine clearance, maintenance and co-production of weapons in Ukraine, support for neighborhood partners and securing borders,” adds the Élysée.
