Periyakulam-Complete Prohibition Act was urged in the women’s day seminar.

An equal role seminar for gender equality was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Periyakulam District Government Hospital campus. Women’s Link Working Committee Member Chitratevi presided. District Coordinator Kameshwari, Nursing College Principal Kannammal presided. Hospital Superintendent Kumar, Station Officer Asia, DSP, Geetha, Municipal President Sumitha, Inspectors Meenakshi, Annamail, Director of Sarvodeep Charitable Foundation Sakayasangeetha and many others participated. They emphasized the demand to ban drugs including alcohol, which are the cause of violence against women, and enforce the complete prohibition of alcohol.
