Musk previously admitted that the first trip to Mars would be hard and dangerous work, and developers will have access to NASA and Epic Games’ virtual reality (XR) test environment, which also includes some virtual assets such as spacesuits and rovers.
Using the Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games built the Mars XR Operations Support System, and participants in the NASA MarsXR Challenge will have their first access to this virtual reality environment.
