Malicious videos, threats of attack, hacking of identifiers… In recent weeks, online attacks have multiplied, in particular against nearly 130 high schools throughout France. To protect against these cyberattacks, solutions exist, and to raise public awareness of this phenomenon, the government has decided to extend training on its SensCyber platform to everyone.

Individuals and small and medium-sized businesses will now be able to follow the advice provided by this tool, initially developed for administrations. The training is free and lasts approximately 2 hours, with prior registration on the cybermalveillance.gouv.fr website.

Videos to understand computer vulnerabilities

This “e-awareness” is made up of three modules comprising seven videos, and helps to understand possible flaws in our digital systems. For example, we remind you of the importance of backing up your data correctly, but also of protecting it with an anti-virus, or of changing your password regularly.

Even if these tips seem simple, the objective is to encourage as many people as possible to adopt the right actions to thwart avoidable hacking attempts. The platform recalls in its latest report that phishing remained one of the main threats in 2023, along with fake bank advisor scams and account hacking.
