Los Angeles: Famous singer and songwriter Lisa Marie Presley (54), the only daughter of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, has passed away. Mother Priscilla broke the news of the death. Lisa is the first wife of Pop Emperor Michael Jackson.
Lisa was taken to a hospital after suffering cardiac arrest at her Calabasas, California home on Thursday, but could not be saved. It is reported that Lisa was found unconscious in the room. Lisa attended the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday along with her mother Priscilla.
Lisa was active in the promotion of the film ‘Elvis’, which tells the life story of her father Elvis. Austin Butler, who played the role of Elvis in the film, won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama category.
On January 8, Lisa arrived at the Graceland bungalow that Elvis owned in Memphis, Tennessee, to celebrate what would have been his 88th birthday.
On August 16, 1977, Elvis was found unconscious at his Graceland bungalow and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Elvis, aged 42, died of cardiac arrest.
Elvis and Priscilla divorced four years before his death.

Lisa was born on February 1, 1968 in Tennessee during the time when Elvis Presley dominated the American music world. Lisa, the daughter of the ‘King of Rock and Roll’, grew up in the celebrity world under the camera eye. Elvis named one of his most important private planes after her.
Lisa was also the sole surviving heir to Elvis’ estate. Following in her father’s footsteps, Lisa released three albums. In 1988, Lisa married businessman Danny Keough, but they separated in 1994. The children of this relationship are actress Riley Keough and Benjamin.
Benjamin committed suicide in 2020 at the age of 27. Lisa married Michael Jackson in 1994 and Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage in 2002, but both relationships ended within two years. She married guitarist Michael Lockwood in 2006. Twin girls were born to the couple in 2008.
Lisa and Lockwood officially called it quits last year. Many celebrities paid tribute to Lisa, including Michael Jackson’s family, Nicolas Cage, actors Tom Hanks and John Travolta.
