“Our country has already gone through many difficulties and has always overcome them, but more than ever we must know that solutions will come from unity, never from division,” warned Felipe VI on October 20, during the Princesa de Asturias Foundation awards ceremony, on behalf of his eldest daughter. This formula is not said lightly. For six months, Spain has been overtaken by the demon of division. The failed legislative election by the right in July gave Pedro Sánchez, the socialist prime minister, the possibility of saving his place thanks to an agreement with the Catalan separatists. In exchange for their support, he promised them the vote, in December, of an amnesty law for the authors of the illegal referendum on self-determination of Catalonia in 2019.
