The daughter of the Sultan of Brunei, Azma, married her first cousin, Prince Bakr Ibni Geoffrey Bolkiah, earlier this month. Although the wedding took place on January 8 and its celebrations were held for about a week, it was revealed only now on the Instagram account of the bride’s brother.
And last week the wedding took place between YTM Pengiran Bahar Bolkiah the second son of Prince Jefri Bolkiah with Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah the daughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

As mentioned, the bride and groom are first cousins, with the groom’s father being the brother of the sultan, the father of the bride. The wedding lasted a week and there were at least seven wedding ceremonies for the couple. As part of them, the couple held the gift exchange ceremony, the awarding of the royal emblem, and more. The final ceremony took place on January 15 and traditionally the families anoint the couple with colored ointments and oils.
