Los Angeles The US electric car manufacturer Fisker is taking the risk: On Thursday evening (local time) founder Henrik Fisker presented three new car models in Los Angeles, which are to go into production soon. Also included: a family car for six passengers at a competitive price, a pick-up truck and a super sports car.
Fisker currently only offers one car – the electric SUV Ocean, which is plagued by production problems. Nevertheless, Henrik Fisker is now on a confrontational course with other e-car manufacturers such as Tesla and Rivian and established manufacturers such as Ford and Volkswagen.
The reason: “The time window to be successful as an electric car manufacturer is closing,” as Henrik Fisker told the Handelsblatt. “In the next two years, the largest slices of the pie in the car market will be distributed. If you don’t have a broad base then, you’ve lost the race. We want to lead this new era.”
