Inter Miami star Luis Suarez won the Most Valuable Player award in the fifth round of the American League for the second time this season.
The striker was a key element in Inter Miami’s 3-1 win at DC United Stadium last Saturday, as he entered in the 62nd minute and scored two goals for his team in a match in which Lionel Messi did not play due to injury.
Suarez tops the list of top scorers in the American League this season with (4) goals, equal to Giorgos Giacomo (Atalanta United) and Dejan Juveljic (Los Angeles Galaxy).
The former Barcelona star had already won the Best Player award in the third round of the American League this season.
Inter Miami and Columbus Crew, the defending American League champions, are equal at the top of the East table with 10 points, but the team coached by Argentine Gerardo “Tata” Martino played more games than the team led by Colombian Juan Camilo “Coco” Hernandez.
