Police in Georgia County, where Donald Trump was charged with attempting to manipulate the 2020 election, say they are investigating threats against members of the grand jury that validated the charges against the former president.
A grand jury — a panel of citizens with investigative powers — appointed by the district attorney for Georgia’s capital, Atlanta County, indicted Mr. Trump and 18 others on Monday for their alleged wrongful attempts to obtain the reversal of the result in this key state in the south-east of the country.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it is aware of the release on various networks of personal information about the grand jury members.
Our investigators work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to identify the origin of threats in Fulton County and other jurisdictions.

Unlike the rules governing federal and many state grand juries, in Georgia the identities of the 23 jurors appear in the indictment. Following the publication of the lawsuits targeting Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants on Monday evening, their names and possible addresses began to circulate on far-right or conspiracy sites, sometimes accompanied by threatening comments, according to the media.
