Sad news from the boxing world. Alesia Graf died at the age of 43, but nothing is known about the cause. The German was born on October 14, 1980 in Gomel, Belarus. She came to Germany in 1999 and bore the name Graf since her marriage. In 2008 she received German citizenship.

Graf, who had the fight name “The Tigress”, won the world title according to the WIBF version. The Stuttgart native fought a total of 29 professional fights and lost eight. Alesia Graf fought her last fight on January 19, 2019 against Denmark’s Dina Thorslund.

“We were friends”

“I still can not believe it. We had a great time together. Two women in a boxing domain among men. We trained together, laughed together and did a lot outside of training. We trained together for almost a decade. Alesia also carried the world championship belt into the ring during my fights and we stuck together and supported each other. We were friends,” explains former world champion Regina Halmich.
