Jatiya Party (Japa) chairman GM Quader has dismissed 10 leaders including Hussain Muhammad Ershad’s son Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad from all posts in the party.
This information was informed in the circular signed by Japa Joint Office Secretary Mahmud Alam on Thursday (March 21).
According to the circular, Jatiya Party Chairman Gholam Mohammad Quader, Jatiya Party Presidium Member Sahidur Rahman Tepa, Chairman’s Advisor MA Quddus Khan, Joint Secretary General Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad, Organizing Secretary Mahmuda Rahman Munni, Provincial Affairs Secretary Khorshed Alam Khushu, Religious Affairs Secretary SM Al Zubair, Joint Organizing Secretary Sujan Dey, Sharfuddin Ahmed Shipu, Sharmin Parveen Liza, Joint Publicity Secretary Sheikh Masuk Rahman and Joint Women Affairs Secretary Shahnaz Parveen have been relieved from all party posts.
Notably, these leaders joined the other part of the party led by Begum Roshan Ershad, the party’s main patron and former leader of the opposition party, before they defected from the party led by GM Quader. Saad Ershad and Sahidur Rahman Tepa were elected co-chairmen in the council. Other leaders are also serving in various positions in Japa faction led by Roshan Ershad.
