Gold prices have been fluctuating over the past few months. A gram of gold rose by Rs 32 to Rs 5,355 and a bar rose by Rs 256 to Rs 42,840. Silver prices fell by 70 paise to Rs 74 per gram and bullion silver was sold at Rs 74,000 per kg.
