Gold smuggling arrest at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport: Woman caught with 763g of gold from Abu Dhabi

A passenger who arrived from Abu Dhabi, Ahmedabad was searched by customs officials at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the state of Gujarat.

A test of his napkin found gold nuggets worth 763 grams in paste form.

Following this, the authorities seized the gold and arrested the woman and are investigating. It is said that the value of gold smuggled by the woman is Rs 49.7 lakh.
