Last Saturday at Lundbybadet in Mjölby, a drowning accident resulted in a 25-year-old man sustaining life-threatening injuries. The man was accompanied by another person who is now suspected of causing bodily harm through negligence. Bathers at the scene pulled the man out of the pool and commenced CPR, while ambulance and emergency services arrived quickly. The man is currently being treated in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital in Linköping. The swimming pool was closed after the incident and remained closed on Sunday.

A 25-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after a drowning accident in Lundbybadet in Mjölby last Saturday. The man had a companion with him and now he is suspected of crime, writes Corren.

– The person who was a companion is suspected of causing bodily harm. It is a crime of negligence, says Torbjörn Lindqvist, officer on duty at the police, to the newspaper.

According to Corren, some bathers pulled the man out of the pool and started CPR. Ambulance and emergency services were then quickly on the scene.

The affected man is still being cared for in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital in Linköping.

The swimming pool was closed after the incident. The bath remained closed even on Sunday.
