Under the patronage of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc and under the management of Electronic Media Marketing Association of Bangladesh (IMA), the ‘Walton-IMA Media Cup Cricket Tournament-2024’ is going on at Udayachal Park, Mohammadpur.

The semi finals of the competition have already ended. Gun Bangla TV and Deepta TV entered the final after two semi-finals.

Green TV scored 92 runs by losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 10 overs against Gun Bangla TV in the first semi-final today (March 09). In response, Gun Bangla reached the port of victory by losing 2 wickets in 6.4 overs and scoring 97 runs. Their Arif was Man of the Match with 40 runs and 1 wicket.

In the other semi-final, Channel I batted first against Deepta TV and collected 106 runs after losing 6 wickets in 10 overs. In response, Deepta lost 5 wickets in 8 overs and scored 112 runs to reach the final stage. Diptar Sarwar Alam was man of the match with 12 runs and 2 wickets.

This year’s Walton-Ima Media Cup cricket tournament was attended by the staff of 24 private television stations in the country. 24 teams are divided into 8 groups in group stage.

In ‘B’ group- Gan Bangla TV, Nexus TV and Anand TV.
In ‘C’ group- Independent TV, Durant TV and Vijay TV.
In ‘D’ group- DBC News, Channel24 and Time TV.
In ‘E’ group- Jamuna TV, ATN Bangla and Mohana TV.
In ‘F’ group– Bangla TV, Channel I and Channel Nine.
In ‘G’ group- Green TV, Ekushey Television and SA TV.
In ‘H’ group- Global TV, Banglavision and Deepta TV.
