Had to go out in a duel in “Farmen kendis”:

by time news

The third week at Li farm is over, and this week it was Kristin Gjelsvik (37) who was chosen as first champion by large farmer Unni Askeland (61).

Gjelsvik chose to meet food profiler Emilie Voe Nereng (28) in battle, and in Sunday’s episode of “Farmen kjendis” they fight each other, with a desire to stay on the farm themselves.

– I lied to TV 2

Nereng chose to face the opponent with a sledgehammer, and after an intense battle the battle was lost to the first champion Gjelsvik.

– I wanted a bold and fair match, so I chose Emilie. She is an equal opponent that it would be cool to win over, but at the same time I wanted a victory, Gjelsvik tells Dagbladet and adds that Nereng had said in advance that she was homesick, and could be chosen to fight.

– It was perfectly fine to lose. Or – it was tough, I would have liked to have been there longer, but the fact that it was a good match makes the loss easier to swallow.

She is not bitter that she had to leave the competition shortly after entering as a challenger.

– No no. It’s just a good atmosphere. I was in a great mood during my stay – but I had a few downs, it was tough being away from my son, she says and chimes in:

– It was a completely raw competition, it was so even! Hope it looks as cool on TV as I felt it did.

– Hadn’t done “The Farm” again

Nereng, for her part, also says that she encouraged Gjelsvik to choose her for battle.

– I spoke to Kristin in advance. I had been terribly homesick since I arrived, and thought that when the atmosphere on the farm improved I would enjoy myself more, but that was not the case, she says.

– So I wanted to go home and hear the voices of everyone I loved. And then I had a bit of a fighting spirit – I wanted a bit of a cool fight.

She further says that they talked a lot about the duel beforehand, and that there were “no hard feelings”.

– We thought that if we got out we would come home to something nice.

Although homesickness weighed heavily on her stay at Nereng, she says that the duel gave her new motivation to be there.

– I regret it very much

– For me it was a turning point. And then I didn’t feel so alone in the loss anymore when I understood that everyone else felt it too.

After losing the duel, Gjelsvik, like all previous participants, was given the opportunity to go on to “Torpet” to compete for a second chance at the “Farmen” farm.

However, the 37-year-old chose to politely decline this.

– It is very close to the finish line here, but I have been to “Torpet” before (in 2019 journal note). I’m not interested in being here. For me it was “The farm” or nothing, she says in Sunday’s episode of “Torpet”.

After a short visit to the small farm, Gjelsvik therefore decided to go home
