Ioan Radev (“Athletic”, Haskovo) and Mila Genova (“Mikhail Zhelev”, Sliven) are the winners of the first round of the “A1 athletics for youth” circuit for this year, which took place on March 23 in Yambol.

Without a single individual victory, but with stable results in third disciplines as well, Genova scored 184 points and topped the girls’ standings. She gave 8.5 sec in the 60 m, 4.42 m in the long jump and 1:51.9 min in the 600 m.

Noela Vunova (“Athletic”, Haskovo) was only 4 points behind her (8.8-4.46-1:50.5), and third is Lena Sandulova (“Vaya 94”, Burgas) with 174 points (8 .5-3.90-1:49.6).

Radina Bozhinova (“Mikhail Zhelev”, Sliven) was the fastest in 60 m – 8.4 seconds, but took ninth place after 3.97 m in long jump and 2:05.5 min in 600 m. Polina Hristova (” Beroe”, Stara Zagora) achieved the best result in the long jump with 4.48 m, but was seventh in the final ranking.

Ioan Radev had no competition in the boys and won convincingly in all three events – 8.0 sec in the 60 m, 5.12 m in the long jump and 2:19.4 min in the 800 m, which earned him 221 points. Danail Chotov (“Team Klavkov”, Plovdiv) was 40th behind him (8.4-4.60-2:29.5). Viktor Zagorchev (“Vaya 94”, Burgas) took third place on the ladder of honor with 176 points (8.4-4.49-2:29.3).

The boys were awarded by Encho Keryazov (deputy mayor of Yambol municipality), and the girls by Ivan Kolev (president of the BFLA).
