Roberto Blanco and his wife Luzandra were in Berlin together as part of the Berlinale. An alarming incident occurred there.
Roberto Blanco and Luzandra Strassburg have been married since 2013. Since then, the couple has been inseparable and also works together professionally. The 45-year-old is not only the musician’s wife, but also his manager. The two recently had to go through a worrying situation together: When they were together in Berlin a week and a half ago, Luzandra Strassburg had to undergo emergency surgery.
The couple were at an event in the capital as part of the Berlinale, where they were still exuberant. However, Luzandra Strassburg then collapsed in the hotel. “Suddenly I fainted, Roberto immediately called the emergency doctor,” she told “tz”. He took her to the hospital, where she was immediately operated on. “I had 15 fibroids in my uterus, some of them very large. They have now been removed, and fortunately the uterus and ovaries could be saved,” explained the 86-year-old’s wife. Fibroids are benign growths.
Luzandra Strassburg is recovering in Mallorca
Even before the incident, she had not been feeling well. “I kept gaining weight and didn’t know why,” she recalled. The reason for this was initially suspected to be, among other things, anemia and that her blood vessels might not be completely in order. Until now, she had not suspected that her symptoms were caused by the fibroids in her uterus.
Luzandra Strassburg is now on the mend – in Mallorca. Since Roberto Blanco is currently very busy at work, she is now recovering on the Spanish island. The ambulance took her straight to the tarmac and the doctors gave her tablets to prevent possible thrombosis. “Everything went well,” said the Cuban.
