Reports have surfaced last week about how the US president confirmed that Russia would attack Ukraine.
U.S. media reported last week, citing unnamed sources, that the United States had received intelligence from US intelligence that the Russian military had been ordered to move forward with its offensive against Ukraine.
According to reports, that intelligence has confirmed to US President Joe Biden on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had decided to invade.
An unnamed U.S. media outlet reported that two U.S. officials had said this.
The White House, the Pentagon and the State Department were not immediately available for comment.
Similarly, a report in the Washington Post on this information is in line with CBS, the New York Times, CNN and many other American media outlets.
“At this point, I firmly believe that he (Putin) has decided to launch an attack. We have reason to believe that,” Joe Biden told the White House last Friday.
At the time, the media only asked how the United States knew, he said, “we have significant intelligence capability.”
