The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs that today the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Hrachya Rostomyan visited the Republic’s “Labor Reserves” and “Armenia” sports NGOs.

The place of the first meeting was the sports non-governmental organization “Labor Reserves”, during the meeting with its representatives, Minister H. Rostomyan noted that he is well aware of the problems in the field, at the same time, he expects to hear the opinion of the specialists who work directly with the athletes, and that only thanks to joint efforts it is possible to solve all the problems, for which he demanded to be proactive and not afraid to raise them.

“Personally, I and the entire staff of the ministry are ready to support you as much as possible, so don’t be afraid to contact us with the problems you are facing,” urged the minister.

The next stop was the republican council of “Armenia” sports union, where H. Rostomyan was presented with many issues concerning the heads of sports schools included in the union.

In particular, the issues of sports equipment, poor condition of gyms, salaries of coaches, holding of training camps, importance of organizing national tournaments at a proper level and other issues were highlighted.

In order to discuss the problems in more detail, H. Rostomyan invited everyone to participate in the consultation activities planned in the ministry in the coming days, where the problems will be jointly discussed and appropriate ways of solution will be chosen.

“Remember that athletes are educated and trained from childhood and it is today that we should think about having tomorrow’s champions,” the minister said. “However, let’s take into account that not all students of sports schools will become champions tomorrow, and despite that, they all need our care and serious attitude. Our main task is to raise a healthy and trained generation,” he added.
