During a press conference with journalists, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan announced that they have started studies on the basis of the message spread by the RF department to understand to what extent the products produced by RA businessmen are inconsistent with the regulations applied by the RF.
To the question whether there is political pressure in this matter, Kerobyan answered: “I wouldn’t say that. It’s strange for us that 35 cars are returned in one year, and then another 35 cars are returned in 2 days. In the event that the operators themselves did not make any changes in the products, we started actions, an urgent consultation that will take place in the next two days.”
The minister responded to the observation that he is being criticized for not creating an alternative to Russia, as the country that exports the most from Armenia, and that’s why we have this situation now. “What does it mean to create an export alternative? It is not possible to export goods to Iraq, the Arab Emirates. The government supports dozens of manufacturers to go to China and present themselves there.”
