Three people were murdered while leaving a nightclub in Páez, Cauca. The victims would be from the department of Huila.
In a tragic event, three people lost their lives after being shot while leaving a nightclub in the Ricaurte Indigenous Reserve, in the municipality of Páez, Cauca. Those responsible for the violent act, until now unknown, shot the victims, leaving a pamphlet at the scene of the crime with a message that reads: “For collaborator of the Second Marquetalia, and those who follow.”
The victims were from La Plata, Huila, as has been preliminarily known.. The mayor of Páez, Hugo Muñoz, confirmed that the deceased are young people between the ages of 20 and 25, from the municipality of La Plata, in the neighboring department of Huila.

The authorities have deployed Army troops and teams of judicial investigators from the Police and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the pertinent procedures and clarify the facts.
“What we have, based on information from the community, is that around 9:20 at night armed men arrive and murder these people,” added the president.
This unfortunate episode has been reported as the eleventh massacre in the country so far this year, according to the Institute of Development and Peace Studies (Indepaz).
It is worth mentioning that over the weekend on the borders of La Plata and Cauca, a married couple were murdered when they allegedly did not heed the stop sign of an illegal armed group that was believed to be dissidents.
