In a context of general price increases, purchasing power is one of the main concerns of the French. Coming from all walks of life, some agreed to open their accounts to us (salaries, income, expenses) for a series of testimonies.

Work at least fifty hours per week for less than 1,000 euros per month. On paper, the proposal does not make you dream. Éric accepted this challenge in 2020 when he became mayor of Loire-les-Marais, a town of 300 inhabitants located 30 km south of La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime). He juggles between this job – which is officially not one –, his business and his family life.
