A state of emergency has been declared in the Brazilian city of Manas after eight people were killed in a landslide triggered by heavy rains.
Heavy rains in Manas, the capital of Amazonas state, triggered a landslide in a residential area located in a high-risk zone.
8 people including 4 children lost their lives due to houses being damaged. While 3 people have been rescued alive, rescue teams are engaged in searching for those trapped in the rubble.
