Mumbai: The Indian squad for the first two Tests of the Test series against England has been announced. Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul were all included in the Rohit Sharma-led team. There are five matches in the series.
Apart from Rahul, the wicket keepers are KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurrell. This is the first time Jurrell has been called up to the Indian team. Jurel was considered for the team as a replacement for Ishan Kishan who asked for leave due to pressure during the South Africa series. Josh Khan was also called up to the Test team for the first time. Jasprit Bumrah is the vice-captain of the team.
The Test series starts on January 25. The first Test will be in Hyderabad. Second match in Visakhapatnam on February 2.
