PV Sindhu in the women’s singles semifinals at the Indonesian Open Super 1000 Badminton Championships. Sindhu will take on Rachanok Intanone in the semi-finals tomorrow. Meanwhile, India’s men’s doubles team has reached the semis.

Sindhu defeated South Korea’s Sim Yuj in a three – game battle. After losing the first game, Sindhu was back in games two and three. The match lasted one hour and six minutes. The score was 14-21, 21-19, 21-14.

The men’s doubles pair of Satviksairaj Rangireddy and Chirag Shetty advanced to the semifinals. Malaysia’s Goh Se Fei-Noor Issuddin advanced to the semifinals with a 21-19, 21-19 victory. Earlier in the day, B Sai Praneeth lost in the men’s singles quarterfinals. Praneeth was defeated by Olympic champion and former world number one Victor Axelsson of Denmark.
