The Retired School and College Teachers Welfare Association has insisted that a special fund should be set up in Marungapuri.
For the circle conference of the association held on Saturday in Manaparai, its president S.R. Mary presided. Former circle secretary V. Gunaseelan carried the movement flag and Nallasiri K. Devarasu also hoisted the national flag. Circle Secretary A. Thirumal read the action report.
Various resolutions were passed in the meeting, including the establishment of a special treasury in Marungapuri for the welfare of the employees, retirees and the public.
State General Secretary S. Prabhakaran felicitated the retired teachers of the organization who completed 80 years. The state officials were addressed by State Treasurer S.Renganathan and the district and circle officials by State Treasurer K.C.Manokaran.
